In 1976 Rappaport et al. introduced the term Monosuperocentroincisivodontic dwarfism to describe patients who exhibit a solitary maxillary central incisor in both dentitions in conjunction with growth retardation.1 The frequency of congenitally missing maxillary primary central incisors has not been reported, but the frequency of congenitally missing maxillary permanent central incisors is rare and is reported to be less than 1%. 2
